As Dean for Australia, Dr. Kirubakaran develops and evaluates OUM’s clinical clerkships in Australia, working closely with physician preceptors and supervising students during rotations. A Consultant Nephrologist and Physician at Mildura Base Hospital in Victoria, Australia, he has served on faculty at Christian Medical College in Vellore, South India, and in Australia at Monash University, Alice Springs Hospital, and the University of Sydney. He has served as external examiner in general medicine and nephrology for students at the University of Madras (India). Dr. Kirubakaran earned his MBBS, his MD and his post doctoral degree in Higher Specialties (Nephrology) at the Christian Medical College. He earned the Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of New South Wales and was awarded the FRACP by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
