Joining OUM in 2021, Associate Professor Diplock is a noted paediatrician and neonatologist who has provided pediatric outreach services to underserved areas in rural Australia, from one-doctor hospitals to isolated aboriginal communities. He earned his medical degree at the University of Queensland and completed postgraduate training in paediatrics at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth and at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Mater Children’s Hospital, both in Brisbane. He was Senior Registrar in Neonatology at prominent hospitals in the UK, and at the Royal Darwin Hospital, Northern Territory, Australia. Dr. Diplock received an Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching from the University of Queensland and the Paediatric Medal for Services to Rural Paediatrics from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
