Each pre-clinical module requires mastery of extensive information during a relatively short period. Students should anticipate spending a minimum of 40 hours per week for successful completion. In a recent survey, OUM students reported spending on average 44 hours per week on their pre-clinical studies, essentially becoming a second full-time job for those who continue to work at the beginning of medical school. Between hands-on rotations and clinical curriculum assignments, students spend 60+ hours per week completing each clinical rotation.
