Kudos to the OUM students who presented at Research Club in recent weeks. As completing a research project is a graduation requirement, and the project prospectus must be presented at Research Club prior to beginning clinical rotations, reaching this milestone is a notable accomplishment. Faculty and classmates routinely attend Research Club to support presenters and new students are encouraged to attend to gain helpful ideas for their own projects.
Andrew Bishay presented “Prevalence of smoking and barriers to smoking cessation in young Australian adults.”
Terri Brewis presented “Assessment of Sleep Disorder Breathing Risk in Non-Morbidly Obese Patients with Hypertension.”
Sadeia Shah presented “Colchicine use for acute pericarditis in patients admitted to a large emergency and trauma hospital in Melbourne, Australia.”
