RESEARCH MILESTONE
Prospectus presentations have been impressive
Kudos to the OUM students who presented at Research Club in recent weeks. As completing a research project is a graduation requirement, and the project prospectus must be presented at Research Club prior to beginning clinical rotations, reaching this milestone is a notable accomplishment. Faculty and classmates routinely attend Research Club to support presenters and new students are encouraged to attend to gain helpful ideas for their own projects.
- Andrew Bishay presented “Prevalence of smoking and barriers to smoking cessation in young Australian adults.”
- Terri Brewis presented “Assessment of Sleep Disorder Breathing Risk in Non-Morbidly Obese Patients with Hypertension.”
- Sadeia Shah presented “Colchicine use for acute pericarditis in patients admitted to a large emergency and trauma hospital in Melbourne, Australia.”
