REMINDER: SPEAK UP

Respond to OUM student survey by end of December

Your opinion counts in making OUM a better place for you, your peers, and future students. It is the time of year to make your voice heard through OUM’s Annual Student Survey, distributed in November.

Now in its ninth year, results from past surveys have led to numerous changes at OUM: more teaching hours, academic and clinical student advising, student conferences, enhanced student orientation,  information sessions, and more.

All students should participate–Preclinical, Clinical, Post-Bac, MD, MBBS, Master’s, new graduates. We want to hear from each of you.

“We can only make adjustments if we know the issues. The good, the bad, and the ugly—we want to hear it all,” says Chris Dudley, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration & Student Affairs, who designs and conducts the surveys. “For the past few years, we’ve enjoyed a response rate of greater than 50 percent. Last year’s response was an astounding 76 percent. It would be great if we could beat that this year. Remember that each entry is read, and the responses are carefully considered and reported.”

The deadline for participation is Tuesday, 31 December. Check your OUM email for your invitation to participate in the survey, sent during the week of 25 November.

As always, individual responses to the survey are confidential. The results will be reported in aggregate in early 2020 and in the February edition of OUM News.
