OPINIONS MATTER
Share your views in OUM’s 10th Annual Student Survey
It has been 10 years since you and your predecessors began sharing important feedback in OUM’s Annual Student Survey. Those opinions and suggestions have made the University a better place for you, your peers, and future students. The link to this year’s survey was recently distributed via email and the Moodle Newsfeed.
Changes attributed to input from student surveys include:
- more lecture hours
- academic and clinical student advisors
- student conferences
- enhanced student orientation
- information sessions & more.
Deadline to respond is Friday, 8 January 2021.
“We can make changes only if we know the issues, so please be frank,” says Chris Dudley, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration & Student Affairs, who designs and conducts the surveys. “For the past few years, we’ve enjoyed a response rate of greater than 50 percent, sometimes greater than 70 percent, which is unheard of in many industries, including higher education.”
All students should participate – Preclinical, Clinical, Post-Bac, MD, MBBS, Master’s, new graduates. As always, individual survey responses are confidential. Results will be reported in the first 2021 student newsletter (February).
“Know that each entry is read and shared with the associated faculty and staff. Please don’t hesitate to share it all – the good, the bad, the ugly,” adds Dudley.
