SPEAK UP
OUM student survey results have led to change
Your opinion counts in making OUM a better place for you, your classmates, and future students. Now is your opportunity to make your voice heard through OUM’s Annual Student Survey, distributed in November.
The survey is now in its eighth year, and results from past surveys have led to numerous improvements at OUM such as more teaching hours, academic and clinical student advising, student conferences, enhanced student orientation and information sessions, and more.
All students should participate: Preclinical, Clinical, Post-Bac, MD, MBBS, Master’s, new graduates. We want to hear from each of you!
“We can’t improve if we don’t know the issues. The good, the bad, and the ugly—we want to hear it all,” says Chris Dudley, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Student Affairs, who designs and conducts the survey. “For the past few years, we’ve enjoyed a response rate of greater than 50 percent. The more input we get, the better. Each entry is read, and the responses are carefully considered and reported.”
The deadline for participation is Friday, 28 December. Check your OUM email for your invitation to participate in the survey, sent during the week of 18 November.
As always, individual responses to the survey are confidential. The results will be reported in aggregate in early 2019 and in the February edition of OUM News.
