Despite an interruption in course work to care for her cancer-stricken mother, Dr. Wendy Chen never lost focus on the final goal: earning her MD. She was an active student leader, becoming one of the first OUMSA presidents, and was always supportive of current and prospective students — while a medical student, as a resident, as a geriatric fellow.
