When 57 first-year medical students began their studies in this month’s January 2026 intake, they made a mark — they became Oceania University of Medicine’s largest incoming class in the medical school’s 24-year history.

That group of new students has now completed Orientation Week and settled into General Principles, the first unit in their medical studies. So, who are the members of this January cohort?
