As OUM continues to grow across multiple regions, we remain committed to ensuring
that our students have academic leadership that is accessible, responsive, and connected to their learning journey.

To further strengthen support for our global student community, we are pleased to introduce an updated regional Dean model.

Dr. Vikas Sethi (pictured, right, above) has been appointed Dean of the Southern Hemisphere, providing academic leadership for students across Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, American Samoa, and the Asia-Pacific
region.

Dr. Ahmed Muhsin (pictured, right, below) will continue to provide academic leadership as Acting Dean of the Northern Hemisphere, supporting students in the United States and Canada.

“This enhanced model has been designed with our students in mind. By aligning our Deans more closely with regional time zones, we can improve accessibility, strengthen engagement, and provide more timely support throughout our students’ academic journey,” says Carmel Sang, OUM Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President.

Drs. Sethi and Muhsin will continue to work closely together to ensure a consistent and collaborative academic experience across OUM. In addition, they will be bringing greater regional focus and accessibility to their respective student communities in fulfilling the University’s mission to develop compassionate, globally-minded medical professionals.
